Privacy notice for pemax.io

This website collects as little as a website can: no cookies, no analytics, no tracking, nothing loaded from anyone else. Here is exactly what does happen, and why.

Who is responsible

Mape Media V.O.F. (Verdunplein 17, 5627 SZ Eindhoven, The Netherlands; KvK 86736159) is the controller for the personal data processed through this website, pemax.io. In this notice, “we” and “us” mean Mape Media.

Questions about privacy go to contact@mapemedia.com or +31 6 49107993.

The short version

  • This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking of any kind.
  • Fonts, images and scripts all come from pemax.io itself. Nothing is loaded from a third party.
  • Our hosting provider keeps technical request data in server logs for a short period, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • Asking for a demo happens by email or phone, directly with us.
  • The PEMAX app is covered by a separate agreement, in which our customer is the controller and we are the processor.

What this website does not do

pemax.io sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, shows no advertising and loads nothing from third parties: no external fonts, images, scripts, embeds or maps. It has no forms, so nothing you type on it is sent anywhere.

The only thing this website stores on your device is your choice of a light or dark theme, if you make one. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us. The cookie notice explains it.

Server logs at our host

Every website is delivered by a server that sees technical data about each request. Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., serves pemax.io from its Frankfurt region and processes the following in its server logs:

  • your IP address;
  • your browser's user agent (the browser and operating system it reports);
  • the page requested and the time of the request.

Why: to deliver the website to you and to keep it secure, for example to detect and stop abusive traffic. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long: for a short period, as set by the host. We do not use these logs to identify visitors or to build profiles.

Vercel processes this data for us as our processor. Vercel Inc. is based in the United States; where data is accessed from outside the European Economic Area, the safeguards in Vercel's data processing terms apply, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Asking for a demo

The “Book a demo” buttons take you to our contact page. You ask for a demo by email or phone; we receive your name, email address or phone number and whatever you tell us, and agree a time with you.

We use it to prepare and hold the demo and to follow up on it. Legal basis: steps you ask us to take before a possible agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in answering your request (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Email and phone

If you email contact@mapemedia.com or call us, we process your name, your contact details and what you tell us, in order to answer you. Legal basis: the same as for a demo.

The PEMAX product

This notice covers the website. The PEMAX app at app.pemax.io is a separate service, provided under the written customer agreement and its data processing agreement.

In the app, the customer (the company that uses PEMAX) is the controller of the personal data in its workspace: its prospects, its conversations and its team. Mape Media is the processor: we process that data only on the customer's instructions and only to provide the service. Every workspace is isolated from every other in the database. People who work in a PEMAX workspace find the privacy information for it inside the app.

If a PEMAX customer contacted you

If you received an email or a call from a company that uses PEMAX, that company decides why and how your data is used, and you exercise your rights with it. Its first email to you carries a notice about who it is and where it got your details, and every email has an unsubscribe link that works in one click.
