The short version
- pemax.io sets no cookies, ours or anyone else's.
- There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no fingerprinting and no advertising.
- If you press the light/dark switch, your choice is kept in your own browser so the next page looks the same. It is never sent to us.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not read any. It has no analytics or tracking scripts, loads nothing from third parties (fonts and images come from pemax.io itself) and embeds no videos, maps or social media widgets that could set cookies of their own.
What is stored on your device
One item, and only after you use the theme switch in the header. It sits in your browser's local storage, which is like a cookie that is never sent with a request.
| Name | pemax-theme |
|---|---|
| Where | Local storage in your browser, for pemax.io only |
| Value | light or dark, nothing else |
| Set when | You press the light/dark switch |
| Purpose | Show the site in the theme you picked on every page and next visit |
| Sent anywhere | Never. It is read only by the page in your own browser. |
| Kept until | You clear it |
If you never press the switch, nothing is stored: the site simply follows your system's light or dark setting.
How to clear it
- In your browser's settings, delete the stored site data for pemax.io. Most browsers keep this under privacy, then cookies and site data.
- A private or incognito window forgets it when you close the window.
- With storage blocked, the switch still works for the page you are on; it just will not be remembered.
Why there is no banner
The cookie rules (the EU ePrivacy Directive, in the Netherlands article 11.7a of the Telecommunicatiewet) require consent before information is stored on or read from your device, unless it is strictly necessary for something you asked for. Remembering the theme you chose, after you chose it, is exactly that, and nothing else is stored. So there is nothing to ask consent for, and no banner in your way.
Other sites and the app
When you follow a link off this site, for example to mapemedia.com, that site's own cookie and privacy notices apply.
This notice covers pemax.io. The PEMAX app at app.pemax.io is a separate service: it uses the cookies it needs to keep you signed in, which are part of the service you use.
